alguns factos biográficos...

1- nasci por volta das 9 da manhã... muito embora as àguas tenham rebentado à 1 da manhã.
2- o hospital foi-me descrito como uma pocilga, mas o único disponível em toda lisboa.
3- visto o cordão ter decidido dar um ar da sua graça... tive que levar uns tabefes até aos pulmões decidirem funcionar e causar o choro próprio de quem respira pela primeira vez.
4- o cordão não se ficou por aí... demorou mais que o previsto em cair contribuindo para a apropriada alcunha olfactiva: cabrinhas.

algumas conclusões...

levo o meu tempo... mas chegarei onde quero.
nem sempre me meto nas melhores situações... mas saio bem delas.
continuo a precisar de um par de estalos.

(the cruelty of an overrated feeling)

podemos começar pela história de hermafrodita. sim é uma história de amor... ou de um amor forçado com resultados desastrosos para nós, humanidade. e pensar que um abraço de intensa paixão pode provocar tais danos... a pergunta urge e eu, um sem vergonha quase assumido, faço-a: e se em vez de com um abraço, o que teria acontecido se hermafrodito (filho de hermes e afrodita) e a ninfa sálmacis se tivessem fundido a fazer um 69?que espécie de ser humano teria dado...

a seguinte história abreviada ocorre também na grécia. laio, rei de tebas, avisado pelo óraculo de delfos, abandona o filho recém-nascido, pregando-o à terra no monte de citerão. adoptado por um pastor, o abandonado à morte, o de pés-furados, vulgo édipo, é mais tarde adoptado pelo rei de corinto... certo dia, suponhamos de primavera, que as hormonas entram em revolução nesta época do ano... édipo, príncipe de corinto, a caminho de tebas... entra em confronto com um velho, o qual acaba por matar... e chegando a tebas, há falta de mulheres jovens e belas, casa com uma madurinha que, sem saber, era sua mãe. o velho, obviamente, era seu pai. mas o moço ignorava tudo isso... e quando descobriu renunciou ao trono, cegou-se e refugiou-se em colono com a filha... assim nasce o incesto. sim... ele também derrotou a malvada esfinge e o homem tem mais patas do que imaginamos...

em portugal... todos conhecemos a história imortalizada por camões. d. pedro I, filho de afonso IV, casado com constança manuel (raio de nome, não me admira que esta história tenha acontecido) conhece uma das aias, uma bela e sedutora mulher de seu nome inês de castro... ele, bom rapaz, um pouco tímido até... ou então não... apaixona-se. promete o divórcio que na altura só através do papa... ou isso ou uma religião nova. imaginam termos uma igreja cristã petrista...? mas constança morre de parto deixando pedro livre. papai, preocupado com o futuro do reino e sobretudo com o bom nome da família real... nada de mistura de linhagens... mandou matar dona inês, a mais que oficial amante e futura mulher de pedro. este ao chegar da caçada real não gostou de saber as más notícias... guerra civil, paz e já rei manda matar os assassinos, aos quais manda arrancar o coração enquanto se deleita num banquete. casou-se em regime de pós-mortem com inês. hoje dormem juntos ad eternum no mosteiro de alcobaça. e o sangue dela, jaz na fonte desse hotel de luxo que é a quinta das lágrimas, em coimbra. isso sim é uma boa campanha de marketing.

e como esquecer o caminho que a humanidade tomou... como se nos foi proibido voltar a entrar no paraíso (neste campo prefiro o de alá, o das 78 virgens)... quando por amor... sim só essa estupidez poderia ser a explicação... adão trincou a maçã proibida... o que quer dizer em palavras mais contemporâneas e menos metafóricas... só o amor levaria adão a abandonar os prazeres infinitos do paraíso por uma sessão de sexo selvagem... mulheres!! acham que oferecendo maçãs conseguem tudo... e têm quase sempre razão. eu disse quase sempre.

embora cruéis e sobrevalorizadas... todos queremos ter uma grande história de amor... infelizmente não existe nem oráculo de delfos que nos avise do futuro, nem deuses que nos elevem a condições sobre-humanas... tudo o que somos, não é mais que uma multidão de corpos perdidos à procura da felicidade... e nem sequer sabemos por onde começar a procurar. será no amor? quanto às mulheres, continuamos a fazer quase qualquer coisa por uma boa sessão de sexo selvagem... eu disse quase.

all signs point to an old evidence: it is time to leave. they come in shape of audio waves blended with words that cannot be anything but the prediction of a future end. and despite of their joyful tone they come as furious as gods upon the human lack of faith. they are not joking as they are sharp and deadly… thank god it’s fatal.

it’s time to get away indicates the spirit, the overall feeling that absorbs all the nervous connections in your skin… but it doesn’t give you the answer as it comes short in detail. the heart pumps questions that blood can hardly deliver. away from what? where? who? most probably the combination of all in a very fucked up way…

gotta get outta town sings in self-confidence the already known need of change, entering in a new level of self-perception. at this time your brain literally translates all messages into muscular spasms. you feel you’re getting somewhere but still: there is no compass indicating north, south, west, east and all other semi-cardinal points. you’re as lost as your map…

finally they say: let’s get out of this country. clairvoyance. all body functions working accordingly to the standard management criteria. you have the skills, the opportunity and most important the motivation… nevertheless it feels, at some moments, like a jump into the void. no vacuum cleaner to turn on.

maybe this is a small step, but human steps are little and my moon is yet to come.

after some conventional jokes and occasional real voice conversation boy and girl start seeing each other... in other words they start dating. and what is dating all about? flaws... it is indeed the way to find out the perfect excuse to say: it’s not you it’s me...

after one or two dates you actually know if she looks like a horse when she smiles… if she’s a powerful 5.1 dolby surround prologic sound system while chatting in a little quiet restaurant all the audience gets to know that she enjoys daniel harlequin’s books, which is quite embarrassing… and you hope you’ll never be in a theatre watching some romantic comedy cause you’re sure she will start thinking you should be her john cusak while she would be your drew barrymore. (drew barrymore????? you rather be caught with E.T. licking…)

of course i’m exaggerating… but that was the funny part of the process. it used to be a who is what kind of game, a shut up and let me dream process, a” hey despite of her horse mandible she is cool…” ok forget it no horse mandible can be cool.

nowadays seems like there are no public but electronic processes. boy meets girl. boy likes girl. boy asks girl’s name. boy runs away and enter the first internet cafe he finds and at a distance of a click he can find all the information he wants… it is a hi5myspaceyourfacemyassdotcom process. in five minutes boy finds out if he really wants to ask girl’s phone number… which he’ll probably get if girl enjoys his profile too.

well either way one day you will find someone who really fills you up with stupid questions that makes you laugh… and then you think: damn, i’m your leonard cohen’s song… but then again you're probably a flaw yourself.

i confess i wasn’t a great admirer of feist. until of course i listened to this not brand new album (april current year) 6 months ago… hey I’m only starting giving attention to this blog and it happens it was the album i choose to listen on my flight home… so here i was, reading my newspaper, same old shitty news… it seems like the world is a soap opera, you can miss one episode and you still won’t comprehend what is all about… one day jupiter will reveal everything: earth, i am your father… and suddenly her (back to feist again) pale voice, which gives extra layers of sexiness to many broken social scene songs, started to absorb my brain… and so i decided i had to write something. no, better than that: i decided i had to invite her:
